Incident Summary:

4/23/2005: Unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, ambushed the vehicle of the mayor of Erraguene, Algeria, two KM from the city's town hall. The mayor was killed and an Algerian soldier accompanying him was wounded. The mayor's vehicle was also heavily damaged in the incident.
