Incident Summary:

06/13/2005: In Sake, in Nord Kivu Province, an unidentified armed group ambushed a Congolese Armed Forces truck and a MONUC [UN Mission for Congo] vehicle following behind it. One Bangai national was killed and at least two other UN soldiers were injured, but the number of Congolese casualties was unknown. Authorities do not know who was responsible for the attack, and no claims were made.
