Incident Summary:

07/01/2005: Gunmen shot and killed a man who was an aide to Iraq's Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani. Two of the aide's body guards were also killed in the attack that occurred as the men were going to Friday prayer at al-Doreen Mosque in Baghdad. Al-Qaida claimed responsibility for the shooting.
