08/21/2005: The Taliban bombed a convoy of US Embassy vehicles on the outskirts of Kabul, Afghanistan. Two American staff members were injured in the explosion. Taliban spokesman, Mufti Latifullah Hakimi, claimed responsibility for the attack.
