Incident Summary:

8/28/2005: Members of the the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) killed two Algerian soldiers and one civilian in an ambush at Tirourda Pass on National Highway 33 in Boumerdès, Algeria. It is unknown if the assailants specifically targets Algerian soldiers or indescriminate citizens. This incident occurred during the GSPC's campaign against national reconciliation.
