Incident Summary:

09/03/2005: Unidentified perpetrators fired four mortar shells at the city of Samarra, north of Baghdad, in Iraq. The shells appeared to target a U.S. installation in the city but missed instead exploding in residential and commercial areas of the city killing five people and wounding 12 others. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
