Incident Summary:

09/04/2005: Taliban insurgents ambushed a convoy transporting goods to US bases on its way from Qalat, the capital of Zabul Province, 218 miles south of Kabul, Afghanistan. Three Afghan policemen escorting the convoy were killed in the strike. Abdul Latif Hakimi, a spokesman for the Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack in a telephone call from an undisclosed location.
