Incident Summary:

10/02/2005: Nepalese Maoists abducted a total of 333 civilians from six different villages in the Panchthar (District) including Yoyang. The perpetrators abducted a total of 50 teachers along with students and farmers for forced participation in the Maoist training program. Authorities believed that many of the victims were being held in a location in neighboring Taplejung (District).
