Incident Summary:

10/23/2005: Nepalese Maoists kidnapped over 200 people from four villages in the Doti (District). Local authorities were unsure of where the victims were being held captive. Although no group claimed responsibility for the abductions, Maoists had previously kidnapped civilians in the area forcing them to undergo instruction in the group’s ideology.
