11/11/2005: Suspected Taliban loyalists shot and killed Nimroz Provincial Governor Haji Namatullah as he was traveling in his car to a meeting in Kabul, Afghanistan. The ambush occurred on the Kandahar (Province)-Kabul Highway in the southern part of Afghanistan’s Zabul Province. No group claimed responsibility for the assassination.
