Incident Summary:

12/04/2005: A former Senator and Governor of Huila, Jaime Lozada Perdomo, was attacked and killed by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia’s (FARC) Teofilo Forero Castro mobile column in Los Altares. The perpetrators attacked the former senator’s SUV first with explosives, then with rifle fire, and finally used sniper shots. Three others in Perdomo’s SUV were injured, including Perdomo’s son.”
