12/26/2005: In an incident similar to a previous case (cf. 200512250003), Taliban spokesman Qari Mohammad Yusof stated that the group had attacked a police motorcycle patrol in the Shinkay (District) of Zabol Province, kidnapping two police officers. The kidnapping outcome was unknown, but as of December 27, 2005, Taliban spokesman Yusof, stated that the men were ‘still alive.’

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
