Incident Summary:

12/29/2005: Three bombs blew up an oil tanker at a gas station in Garhi Qamardin, Pakistan, killing four people and injuring eight others. The timing of the explosion was seen as accidental and authorities believed that the perpetrators may have been headed to Islamabad to detonate the weapon. The tanker was stolen by about a dozen perpetrators in Kotal and in the process they kidnapped the three owners of the tanker (cf. 200512290004). One of the kidnapped victims was shot in the arm, but all three were released before the tanker exploded at the gas station.

About 12 perpetrators hijacked the oil tanker in Kotal and kidnapped its three owners. The owners would all be released before the explosion at the gas station.
