Incident Summary:

01/11/2006: Pavalarani Kanapathipillai, a Samurdhi Development Officer at the Chavakachcheri Divisional Secretariat, was abducted from her home in Muttavil East, Sri Lanka. A few hours later, she was shot and killed at the grounds of Panrithalaichi Amman Temple in Thenmaradchi. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam are believed to be involved in the incident.
