01/24/2006: Two Muslim police officers, Taofit Mahae and Usumal Maha, who worked on a regional border security job creation project, were seriously wounded when an unknown perpetrator shot them with an AK-47 in Rusae, Narathiwat Province, Thailand. There were no reported claims of responsibility for the attack.
