Incident Summary:

01/29/2006: A newspaper in Kyrgyzstan, the Vetchernyi Bichkek, was the target of a foiled arson attack by two men. One of the men tried to break into the office of the newspaper armed with 10 liters of petrol, but was caught by a night watchman, and the other was arrested by police. The management of the newspaper accused Ryspek Akmatbayev of responsibility for the attack, but the businessman denied involvement.
