Incident Summary:

01/29/2006: In a series of related incidents, the Radiotelevision La Colombe station in Rutshuru, Democratic Republic of Congo, was forced to shut down after rebels looted equipment at the station and threatened the reporters working there with unspecified weapons. The rebels were believed to be the troops of Laurent Nkunda. There were no reported casualties and no claim of responsibility for the attack.
