Incident Summary:

05/20/2006: Five soldiers from India’s Armed Border Force (SSB, Sashastra Seema Bal) were kidnapped and found murdered nine days later in Bhairavkunda, India. .The five soldiers were abducted by a group of men who found them intoxicated at the home of Babul Kalita, who was lynched at the scene. Authorities suspect members of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in the attack, whose members had earlier warned Kalita to close down his ‘liquor shop and brothel.’
