Incident Summary:
05/27/2006: An unidentified perpetrator, using an automatic weapon, opened fire on the headquarters of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (CPVPV) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, injuring no one. The target appeared to be members of the CPVPV, but at the time of the attack they were all outside of the building performing afternoon prayers. The perpetrator escaped and the search for him was ongoing. No claim of responsibility was reported.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
