Incident Summary:

08/28/2006: Taliban fighters attacked a police post in the Jawand district of Afghanistan’s Farah Province, killing two policemen and three civilians. Four civilians were also abducted in the incident. While the attack was blamed on the Taliban, there was no official claim of responsibility made by that organization.
