11/19/2006: An unknown number of gunmen kidnapped Deputy Health Minister Ammar al-Saffar, a Shi i, from his home in Baghdad, Iraq. The gunmen arrived in four cars in broad daylight. It is unclear whether anyone was injured or anyone else was abducted with the Deputy Health Minister. The fate of Saffar remains unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
