04/02/2007: Sixteen people were killed and 25 were wounded when a bomb exploded on a crowded bus near the Kondawattuwan security check point near Ampara, Sri Lanka. Authorities blamed the attack on members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), but the group denied any responsibility for the incident.
