Incident Summary:

07/10/2007: Sunni militants attacked a village in the Diyala Governorate of Iraq. Twenty-five militants and eighteen civilians were killed and 40 civilians were injured in the assault. At the time of the attack there were no Iraqi police or military there to protect the village. No claim of responsibility was reported.
