07/14/2007: Candelario Juarez, police chief of Guadalupe in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, survived an attack on his convoy by armed gunmen in Guadalupe, Monterrey, Mexico. One of his bodyguards was killed and three other bodyguards were wounded. It is unsure what the motive behind the assassination attempt.
