Incident Summary:

7/15/2007: Cadres of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha - Jwala Singh (JTMM-J) abducted three people from Govindapur, Siraha, Nepal. The JTMM-J Siraha district leader stated that Ramhari Pokhrel, a Village Development Committee secretary, had been abducted for not paying taxes to the Terai government established by JTMM-J. Pokhrel was killed on the 18th. Govinda Karki and Bed Prasad Sapkota, both teachers, were released the evening of the 18th, three days after their abduction. The motive behind their abduction is unknown.
