08/05/2007: Two soldiers were gunned down by militants in a drive-by shooting while riding their motorcycles in Narathiwat, Thailand. The attack occurred in one of Thailand’s three restive provinces bordering Malaysia. Muslim insurgents have been active in the region, although no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
