8/29/2007: Unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, detonated a homemade bomb that targeted a freight train carrying fuel travelling through Ahnif, Algeria. Three people were wounded and nine cars were derailed. The contents of the detached cars spilled into a ravine.
