Incident Summary:

08/29/2007: In Dantewara, India, 200 assailants armed with unspecified firearms attacked security forces near Jangargunda forest, killing eight members of the Indian paramilitary and four police officers. Three paramilitary forces were wounded along with three police officers. No group claimed responsibility, though it was widely believed to be the actions of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI -Maoist).
