01/10/2008: Six American soldiers were killed in Diyala when insurgents detonated a large bomb hidden in a booby trapped house. Four other soldiers were wounded, and an interpreter of unknown nationality was killed. The attack occurred on an offensive against Sunni insurgents. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
