Incident Summary:

02/15/2008: At approximately 4:50 a.m., the offices of the Nepal Election Commission in Nepalgunj, Banke District, Nepal was attacked by a barrage of bombs. No casualties resulted from this attack, although property damage did occur, including damage to employees’ residences. Jantantrik Terai Mukti Morcha Jwala Singh (JTMM-J), a militant group that demands Terai become its own independent state, claimed responsibility for this attack.
