Incident Summary:

03/08/2008: Militants of the United Democratic Terai Liberation Front (UDTLF) kidnapped Brij Sukhla, a Jana Morcha Nepal candidate from the Kapilvastu district of Dohni, India. The kidnapping took place while Sukhla was campaigning for the CA polls in Dohni village at around 1 pm at a supporter's house. The commander of Kapilavastu wing of UDTLF group, Raj Guru, said they kidnapped Sukhla because of his 'anti-people policies'. A search operation was launched by police to find Sukhla.
