Incident Summary:

05/02/2008: On Friday, 25 suspected left-wing Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) militants killed one policeman and injured four others during an attack on a police patrol team patrolling a weekly cattle market at Taherpur of Bagmara sub-district in the Rajshahi district of Bangladesh. The attackers first stabbed the policeman and then opened fire on them. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
