Incident Summary:

05/14/2008: On Wednesday, in an attempt to intimidate voters during West Bengal polling, West Bengal Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) political party members shot and killed three Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) supporters in Basanti town in South 24 Parganas in West Bengal, India. CPI Maoists also allegedly set several homes belonging to RSP supporters on fire in the same town. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
