Incident Summary:

05/26/2008: On Monday, four Afghan Health and Development Services (AHDS) workers were taken hostage by Taliban militants in the Nahr-e Robat area of Daman District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. Later that night, the Taliban released all four hostages in Arghestan District after they were interrogated. According to one of the hostages, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the kidnapping stating that "we were given wrong information about you that is why we abducted you, but we are now freeing you as it became clear that you are innocent people."
