Incident Summary:

06/08/2008: On Sunday, at 1600, a bomb exploded in the town of Lakhdaria, Tizi Ouzou, Algeria. A French engineer's car hit the device as he left a worksite, killing him and his driver. Ten others, most members of a civil protection force, were killed when they ran to help and a second bomb was detonated. The attack was claimed by Al Qaeda in the Lands of Islamic Maghreb militants.
