Incident Summary:

06/27/2008: On Friday morning at 08:00, two farmers, Roy Lunar and his father-in-law Antiniano Mirabuna, were abducted from their house by suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in Pinagsalog Village, Pilar town, Sorsogon province, Philippines. The hostages were believed be to be military and police informants, which authorities believed was the motive behind the kidnapping attack. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident and the status of the hostages is unknown.
