Incident Summary:
08/02/2008: On Saturday night, Taliban gunmen set ablaze a mobile tower of the Roshan private mobile phone company and then abducted an employee of the company guarding the tower in Qarehbagh district, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. More than ten barrels of diesel, meant to power the antenna generator, were used to burn the tower. The guard was later freed the next morning on 08/03/2008 on Sunday. Zabihollah Mojahed, a spokesman for the Taliban, said the attack was carried out because the Roshan Company had defied their warning to switch off its activities between 1900 and 0700. No casualties were reported.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
