09/28/2008: On Sunday, Lt-Col Malalai Kakar, head of Kandahar's department of crimes against women, was shot in her car as she was about to leave for work.The victim was killed in the attack and her son was wounded by two gunmen on a motorbike in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The Taliban claimed responsibility.
