Incident Summary:

10/20/2008: On Monday, Taliban insurgents fired upon a 303 passenger bus after it refused to stop at a Taliban checkpoint on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in Larmai village outside Ab Band district, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. The attack killed one female civilian and injured two others. The militants then tortured several of the passengers and afterwards set the bus on fire, causing an unknown amount of damage to the bus. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahed claimed responsibility for the incident on behalf of the group.
