10/21/2008: On Tuesday afternoon, unknown assailants detonated a roadside improvised explosive device on the Sharan-Janikhel Highway in the Kotwal area of Sharan district, Paktika province, Afghanistan. The roadside bombing attack killed one civilian, injured two policemen and caused an unknown amount of damage to the vehicle. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.
