11/04/2008: On Tuesday, Communist Party of India-Maoist militants opened fire on a helicopter carrying a Bharatiya Janata Party politician in the Koilibera area of the Kanker district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The militants missed the intended target. No casualties were reported in the attack.
