11/07/2008: On Friday, in a rural area outside Tibú, Norte de Santander, Colombia, armed assailants detonated a bomb near oil tower #232, damaging the infrastructure. No casualties were reported and no group claimed responsibility, although it was widely reported that the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia’s (FARC) 33rd Front was responsible.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
