Incident Summary:

12/05/2008: On Friday afternoon, at about 1415, near Rahe Village, Bundu, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, approximately 40 assailants ambushed and fired upon a police vehicle, killing five police officers and damaging the vehicle. The assailants stole the police officers' weapons after the attack. No group claimed responsibility, but authorities believed the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was responsible.
