12/08/2008: On Monday, Assistant Political Agent (APA) Mir Ali Asmatullah Wazir and his seven body guards were kidnapped by unknown militants in Bannu, North West Frontier, Pakistan. The assistant political agent went missing after crossing the Kajhori check point and crossing into North Waziristan. No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction and no casualties have been reported.
