Incident Summary:

12/27/2008: On Saturday, unknown gunmen shot and killed Ismail Hassan Timir, Deputy Minister of Reconciliation, in Baidoa. According to witnesses, gunmen, armed with pistols, shot the minister as he was exiting his vehicle. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and the motive for the killing is still unknown. There was no reported damage.
