Incident Summary:

02/15/2009: On Sunday, in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir, Turkish police, attempting to dispers an illegal assembly of PKK supporters, protesting the 10th anniversary of the capture of Abdullah Ocalan, were attacked by an unknown number of protestors, wearing masks and throwing rocks. According to official reports, at least 15 officers and journalists were wounded in this attack. There was no claim of responsibility and it is unknown if the attack caused any property damage.
