Incident Summary:

03/03/2009: On Tuesday at 0900, twelve unidentified militants attacked a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricket players to a match against Pakistan while they were traveling through a roundabout in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The militants attacked with AK-47s, grenades, and rockets. Six security personnel were killed in the attack and eight of the Sri Lankan players were injured. The terrorists travelled by rickshaw and taxi. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
