Incident Summary:

05/01/2009: On Friday, in San Juan del Cesar, Guajira, Colombia. An indigenous man, Luis Carlos Moperena, from the village of Wiwa encountered four heavily armed men in uniforms. The men accused Moperena of being an informant for the army so they tied him up and poured gasoline over him setting him on fire with a match. Moperena suffered third degree burns in 50 percent of his body. No group claimed responsibility but is highly suspected Revolutionary Armed Forces 41st Front was responsible for the attack.
