Incident Summary:

05/27/2009: On Wednesday morning around 0400, a bomb exploded in front of a hotel in the center of the town of Yala, Thailand, but only parked cars and windows were damaged by the small device. Police said attackers used homemade explosives with shrapnel made of steel rods cut into one centimeter pieces. They were set off electronically by remote control, possibly mobile phones. No casualties were reported and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
