Incident Summary:

05/29/2009: On Friday night, an 81-mm mortar damaged the roof of the house of Kalamansig Vice Mayor Joaquin Concha in Kalamansig town. Concha and other local officials in Kalamansig have been receiving threats from a group who claimed to be followers of Commander Boyet of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front's (MILF) 104th base command. Eid Kabalu, MILF spokesman, denied the MILF had any hand in the blast that hit the town vice mayor's home. No one was hurt in the blast which damaged portions of the second floor of Concha's residence.
